Organic flour? Check. Unrefined caster sugar? Yes please. British unsalted butter? Got it. Free range eggs? Always. I don't compromise on quality and you can taste the difference in Den cakes. I'm all for beautiful cake, but if it's not tasty too, I'm not interested.
The Den Bake Shop menu includes my take on some popular classics and some of my own original flavour combinations, tweaked to make your taste buds tingle. I like a proper slice of cake - something I can enjoy from start to finish without it becoming too rich or saccharine - and you'll find Den cakes tend towards a semi-sweet taste. I'm not one for very sweet buttercream either, so my recipes use substantially less sugar than most recipes recommend.

Banana Chip (v)
Squidgy, plant-based banana layers filled with rich, Callebaut chocolate ganache and crushed plantain crisps.

Carrot + Ginger (v)
Fully plant-based signature carrot cake with a spicy dose of fresh ginger root and crystallised ginger, filled with dark, Callebaut chocolate ginger ganache.

Carrot Chilli
Variation three of the Den carrot cake family features a gentle chilli heat, and is filled with dark Callebaut chocolate ganache and (optional) crushed chilli-toasted walnuts.

Drunken Carrot
The winter twist on Den's signature carrot cake, soaked in Appleton Rum syrup, filled with rum-infused dark Callebaut chocolate ganache and toasted coconut flakes. AVAILABLE NOV + DEC

Chocolate Salted Caramel
Semi-sweet cocoa cake layers, filled with Den salted caramel buttercream and pretzel pieces.

Original Nutter
