How to commission your Den Bake Shop wedding bakes

Choosing how to cake for your wedding celebrations can be pretty straightforward, if you just answer two questions first.

One, whether it's going to double as dessert; and

two, which flavours you'd like.

Simple enough, no?

Booking in with me also involves a few simple steps.

1. Check out my work here and on Insta and check that my eclectic stylings fit with the overall vibe you're creating for your wedding day. I'm into textured overload, splashes of colour and dynamic stacking, as well as blended shades, earthy tones and subtle metallic accents - big Gemini energy, I know!

2. Taste the goods! Get your hands on one of my postal Flavours boxes (available to order right now from my website) or hunt me down at a wedding fair to taste a selection from the Den Bake Shop menu. Taste is queen in my book, and you'll find complexity and personality running through each flavour combination, from Pistachio Almond Mango to Jamaican Rum.

3. Contact me as soon as you can to check I'm available for your chosen date. I'd love to hear from you at least 8 months in advance, so we have maximum planning time, but I can move pretty fast if you already know what you're after or are giving me free rein.

My initial chat with each couple informs the design I create for you - I love a bit of a natter to find out more about you both, so that I imagine something

customised to you. I like to offer two to three rough cake (and cake canapé) designs for your consideration as part of my free initial consultation, and if you choose to book in with me, we can tweak and tailor those to fit the look for your day.

Can't wait to talk cake with you!
